To go with my Symetrie hat out of the same handspun yarn.
Tried downsizing another pattern, but I am just going to create my own version.
3/4/2015 - CO 28 sts with tubular cast-on. Work 1x1 twisted rib for about 1.5 inches.
12/31/2015. - ripped out ribbing and started the chevron gauntlets pattern, which is working fairly well. Will post my adjustments when I’m done
Style changes: instead of s1/k2tog/psso, if wanted a centered dec so I used s2tog/k1/psso. Also, on 2nd mitt I moved the last stitch of the round to the beginning and out the thumb gusset to the Left in order to mirror the 1st mitt.
1/1/2016 - the first gauntlet is done except for the thumb. I started with the medium size, cuff in the dark color, then switched to 4 round stripes for the arm. When I had about 7 stitches on the thumb gusset, I did an inc round (omitting the double-decrease while doing the yo’s) to make the hand bigger (would have been too small otherwise.
at 11 stitches on the gusset, I began to inc there every 2 rds instead of four. Once I got to 17 stitches, I put the thumb on waste yarn, CO 2 stitches, and on next round used the extra yarn to make 5 CO stitches (then did Dble-dec’s every other round.
Completed two stripes (dark, then light), then changed to dark and knit one plain round,
I wanted to match the ribbing on the hat, so I did * p1, k1tbl * for a few rounds, then cast-off in purls.
