Sweater back is about 3/4 done. A couple of things stand it: the shaping is lovely, but if y pou use a stitch pattern p, know that a. Customfitbeta does not add edge stitches for seaming, so you may want to add them i, and b. the default of perfectly fitting your stitch pattern at cast in may or may not be a good idea. I wish I had added one stitch to the total, so the back darts would have matched perfectly, I had to fudge this. Will definitely implement this for the front.

Some choices are subjective. Customfitbeta has the decreases follow the shaping just ne stitch from the edge, while my preference is to do decreases against the shaping two stitches in. I’m following the pattern as a test knitter, so well see how I like this.

So far, the pattern is very clear, with the above reservations…

10/3 update - body is done and blocking. Strategy to add a “center stitch” worked well - the decreases mirrored each other perfectly. Sleeves - mostly done - I did them two at a time knit flat, and now I’m on the sleeve caps. Should finish them tonight and will block, hopefully seam things together tomorrow at craft night at the church!

Later: Sleeves done and blocking! Can’t wait to put it together.

10/5 - All the knitting is done. Reblocking the neckline to get the ribbing to lay flat. Ends woven in - will try to get pictures soon!

January 2014 -- I’m frogging this sweater to reuse the yarn. This is not due To any problems with customfit - in fact, I made another sweater with it as a gift recently. But I will not wear the pullover, I’m more of a cardigan gal, and the yarn I chose is really too warm for a pullover in the SF Bay Area. And I’m planning another sweater, maybe out of this yarn!
