the yarn came as part of the Ysolda 2016 Club. Just wasn’t feeling excited about the pattern, so I’m using the yarn to make this instead!

Note the problem on Chart B - by comparing with written directions, you can figure out where to move the repeat line on each side.

I’m doing 8 repeats of Chart B because I want this to be bigger given all the yardage that I have. I may do more repeats of Chart C -- edited to add I did 5 repeats instead of 4.

For Chart D, I wanted less of this - so I did 6 rows, and then began Chart E with fudging the ends to match on those rows.

By the end of Row 22, I had used 54 grams of the 100 gram ball (46 grams left), and was using about 2.5 gr per row, so I am just going ahead to work the last 10 rows - if I think it will be plenty big enough without adding more rows. Update: wrong! I was only using about 1 gram per row, but I felt adding in more rows was going to make this bigger than I could reasonably wear.

I ending up making the edging with 4 more rows (repeating the “open” increases and “closed” increase rows one more time each. Then cast-off with a yarn over bind-off for stretch.

Total size with all of these adjustments: about 66 inches wide and 27 inches long after blocking.
