I’m making this sweater with DK weight yarn, so I’m following the directions for the 3 mo size in stitch counts, hopefully will end up the right size!

Note: I did a different picot edging (by mistake -- I didn’t read carefully), and I also added a few short rows for the back neck to make sure the sweater kept baby’s neck warm.

2/9/2013 - my plan for the gauge worked out well. Body is done, washed and blocked, now I will seam up and then find buttons for the sweater before doing the button band.

2/11/2013 - seams done, live stitches kitchnered, button band done. Now ready to figure it what kind of button holes to make.

later in day - tried a number of different buttonholes - they ended up too big or too small. So I ended with the very simple and just the right size - k2tog, yo! Sometimes the simplest is the best!
