switch to main yarn,
1 round plain
Right instep Pattern for 2nd and 4th sizes on instep
Knit in pattern to 5.25” (8 cable crosses + 3 knit rounds)
Gusset - inc 14 sts each side
Heel turn 14 - 12 - 12 - 12 - 14
Slip stitch heel
Inc at beginning and end of instep (38 stitches)
Inc 6 stitches over heel (42 stitches)
Knit leg in pattern over 80 stitches
End with 17th cross from heel by
Knitting in pattern except work (k1, k2tog, k1) over the cable stitches. 72 stitches.

Continue in pattern in ribbing for about 1.25-1.5” then bind off with the Russian lace bindoff.

For second leg, reverse the direction of the cable.
