Notes

First time using 000 points. I didn’t know what I was getting into, however, when I chose a 50 wt cotton thread. It’s super fine.

03-13-2023

I frogged this piece completely, last night. I made a mistake from which I couldn’t recover on round 127 and, despite a game effort to fix it, I decided to start anew. Nieblings are humbling to begin with, all the more humbling with 000 points and a fine thread.

After a few failed attempts to restart it, I finally was able to get going again, yesterday. Soldiering on.

The piece has become too large to photograph flat. I am on round 203 and chugging along.

I am on round 372. Almost there. I have knit this piece on three continents; in planes, trains, automobiles, buses, and ferries; in doctors offices and cathedrals; at beaches and parks. Among other things.

I finished the bind off today at the Pink Owl Coffee shop in San Rafael, California. All that’s left is to block the piece.
