Notes

July 8th: I’m mostly finished. Until the very end, it looks very floppy, but the inner band literally pulls it all together. The “button” and weaving in remain.

Though I understand that the seams are a feature of the cap, I find a bit unsatisfying to reduce the crochet part to making fabric that is finally stitched together. I’d love to work on a pattern in one piece (or almost) where the “seams” would be something like the opposite of raised stitches.

Start: So far great pattern. I like the cleanness of the instructions. Made the top, button, and two back-panels.

I used a yarn that is really meant for rough socks, but the stiffness and tweedy colours look perfect.

Looking forward to sewing together!
