Use the Barnyard Knits yarn picked up April 5th during their soft opening. Japanese Maple (purple) and African Violet (Variegated).

Split for the sleeves and just a few rows short of the beginning of the waist decreases. Juggling 4 cakes of yarn to ensure no pooling or striping is a bit of a pain, but I’ve hit a routine, moving the cakes with each row or color change. It takes a few extra seconds, but eliminated the need to do untangling every 4 -6 rows, so worth the effort.
Loving the construction, the pattern is well done and easy to follow, and the sweater looks amazing so far. I want to get it done and be able to wear it soon!

Finished the waist decreases and started the waist increases. Not much further until we get to the bottom section and hem!

Finished the body, the bottom lateral braid and half of the hem. Hoping to get the hem bound off tomorrow and then it’s on to sleeve island.
I’ve used way less yarn for the body than anticipated based on the requirements listed. I probably could have gotten away without alternating skeins, but I’m glad I did - no weird pooling or striping, phew!

Sleeve one is complete. Tried so hard to love the shortie circular, but after about 10 rows I had to switch to my DPNs. Moved a lot faster after that.
One more sleeve to go, but I also plan to unpick the hem bind off and redo it - the JSSBO is flaring, and I don’t like it.

Ripped out the hem in total. That wasn’t the plan, but as I tried to unpick the bind off, I kept losing the slip stitches and then couldn’t get them all lined back up - by the time I realized I would have to go all the way back, I had individually tinked more than half. So just kept tinking back to the lateral braid and will start over.

Off the needles! Now I just need to get her blocked and modeled.
