9/7: This pattern was initially challenging me a bit as a knitter. I’ve not knit much lace so I needed to watch the video to decipher the stitch pattern. I also learned the Norwegian purl for this pattern (which I LOVE!).

CO 20 st and will alternate between knit/purling 6 and 2 stitches in the end loops to make an almost rectangular scarf. (Ie. first row will have 4 sunbursts, the 2nd will have 3, the 3rd will have 4, the 4th will have 3, etc.)

9/16: Finished scarf is 4” wide and 7’ long. I like the stitch pattern and the colors of the scarf. This was a fun quick knit once I figured out the pattern.

(I knit this as a triangular shawl in April 2011 and love the stitch pattern, but don’t love triangular shawls for me. Frogging and reknitting into a shape I’ll wear.)
