I wanted to make the cable braids headband by Hana Paimen from the moment I saw it, but I had to practice cables first. ;)

I used Schachenmayr Merino Extrafine Color 120 in color jazz (id # 00499) with Prym circular needles 4mm x 20cm and one cable needle with 4mm.

My headband comes with one repeat of the braids.
The headband was 53cm long after blocking and fits comfortable and a little loose on my 51cm head.

I used the V-stitch shown in the video from Redaktion Hug to close the loop.

It helped me a lot to use stitch markers in two colors to avoid making mistakes with the pattern. I marked each row where a braid was started.
