Notes

The top sample print is Variation Honeybee from Barbara Walker’s Charted Knitting Designs. The lower print, and knitted sample are Cascading Leaves, I am still searching for the source on that one. I’ve continued to experiment with printing and inking techniques. So far the soft ground copper etchings are my favourites. You can still recognize the images as knitting, but they have their own life, not just a copy of a knitted piece.

The prints in this case were inked in two different ways. The prints on the left were inked, getting the ink down in the tiny lines that have been etched into the plate, and then the excess wiped off. The ones on the right were top rolled, so no ink was in the tiny lines. They remind me a bit of xrays.
