Created for Operation Homespun: The Next Generation, a group show featuring garments, art pieces and accessories inspired by the original Anna Templeton traditional knitting pattern book. Exhibited at Devon House, Craft Council of Newfoundland and Labrador, March 24th to April 29th, 2012.

Waved Welt pattern. I began by knitting a sample using a smooth, tightly spun cotton, I then attached the sample to a piece of mat board to create a collagraph plate used for printmaking on paper. You can see that once the knitted sample was inked and put through the press the resulting print clearly shows the plies of yarn, individual stitches and the overall texture of the piece.
