NOTES
The yarn I used, I guessed the length as it’s from Temu and doesn’t provide meterage.
For the waistband, I started with 19ch and made the first row 18hdc. Designer uses US terms
The first part of the pants refers to rows 2-20. I made an extra 2 rows here to allow for a more generous area. Measures 24cm from the bottom of the band area.
For splitting of the pants to allow for the legs: 1sc and 15ch. Don’t need to cut the yarn, just slip stitch back to the start of the chains.
Finished with 83 shell rows in total, before commencing the shell edging pattern for the bottom of each leg.
I used a 2cm elastic band for the waistband, and secured it with cotton at 4 even points, to stop the elastic from twisting after washing. I put a black cross with cotton on the inside back section of the waistband to differentiate the front from the back of the pants.
These pants were designed to be worn on the hips.
Was working on following measurements:
Bust 95cm
Waist 75cm
Hips 85cm
