Don’t ever want to put it off my shoulders again! So soft, warm and cosy..it turned out perfect. I love this color and yarn combination - want to make more of these.
When planing this cape-like shawl I refered to the Drops pattern but knitted stockinette st and changed the border. I made gentle ruffles instead and finished with 2 purl rows and BO.
No blocking yet - it drapes nicely as it is…

All three strands held together - used 32g Mohair and almost all Kinu.

Here are further notes on the construction:
Stockinette-part

• start at the top and knit stockinette st until your desired length/width, following the instructions of Drops Design (see link above)
• increases were done by knitting one stitch twice, i.e. knit through front and back loop (kfb)
• 3 garter st edges on both sides (at the end of the day I thought two st would have done equally well)

Ruffles:

• I stopped increasing at right & left edge (i.e. next to the 3 garter stitches)
• and started to increase (kfb) on every right side row (RS): in first RS-ruffel-row every 6th stitch, in the second RS-ruffle-row every 7th stitch, third RS-ruffle-row every 8th stitch and so forth
• I increased like that for 8 RS-rows
• knitted 2 purl rows and bound off
• ruffles will need a lot of yarn which made me ripping back a million times to make them long enough
