My sister asked me to knit this for her partner’s fiftieth birthday - I knew she had chosen well when Gordon wore it all day. The yarn came from a cone of Herdwick carpet wool, very thick and heavy in grist and I copied lasdcm’s pattern adaptation for adults with only minor modifications.
