Bust: 18 1/4” across
Length: (55)
Width overarm: 6” across
Sleeve length, underarm: 14”
SUGGESTED KNITTING NEEDLES
4.75mm, 5.5mm and 6 mm
TENSION
16 sts x 22rows = 10 cm
BACK AND FRONT
With the double yarn and 4.75mm needle tubular cast on 168sts.
Join and change to 5.5mm needles. work 2”ribbing
Insert marker at sides with 84sts for each side, front and back.
Change to 6 mm needles.
Decrease the number of stitches thus:
Front: K2, k6, k2tog 10 times, K2, (74sts)
slip marker,
Back: K2, k6, k2tog 10 times, K2 (74sts)
Continue in Stocking stitch until work measures 12”
Cast off 6 sts at each side for armholes (68st)
SLEEVES
With the double yarn and 5mm tubular cast on 32sts.
Join and change to 5.5mm needles. work 8 rows ribbing
Insert marker between first and last st of rnd.
Change to 6 mm needles.
Knit 2 rounds in stocking stitch
Next round increase 1 st at each side of marker while continuing knitting stocking stitch. .
Rep inc rnd every 5cm until 52 sts.
Cont until sleeve is 15”
Cast off 6 sts at center underarm (46st)
Knit the second sleeve.
RAGLAN
Transfer sleeve sts to the 6 mm needle: 46 left sleeve + 68 front + 46 right sleeve + 68 back = 228 st
Knit one round while,at the same time, at each junction k2tog to make raglan sts 224sts.
Place markers both before and after each of the K2tog stitches that joined the sleeves to the front and back at each intersection.
Knit 2 rounds
HOW TO MAKE THE RAGLAN STITCH DECREASES:
knit to 2 stitches before the markers, knit 2 together, slip marker, knit 1, slip marker, slip stitch knit ways, slip stitch purl ways, insert left needle into the two slipped stitches in front of the work, then knit them together at that point

Short rows st are made at:
on the front of the sweater 3 st after each of the front raglan markers
and at:
on the sleeves of the sweater 3 st after each of the back raglan markers
And at:
on the back of the sweater 3 st before each of the back raglan markers.
There are 68 st remaining.
Change to 5.5mm needles
NOTE: You will have to decrease 1 st on the front and one 1 on the back so that there are uneven stitches between the three raglan stitches. (66st)
NOTE: On the neck ribbing you will want a knit/purl/knit to carry on for those three raglan stitches.
3 raglan +3 sleeve +3 raglan + 25 front +3 raglan +3 sleeve +3 raglan +23 back = 66st
FINISHING, NECKBAND
Change to a 5.5mm needle and knit a 1x1 ribbing for 3 rounds.
Change to a 5mm needle and continue ribbing for 3 more rounds.
