Notes

This used only 199 grams (approximately 895 yards) of light-fingering weight wool, and is very large. My actual bust measurement is 46” and even though I made the 44” size, there is a lot of positive ease, and the length of this garment after washing is mid-thigh on me. I like the loose tunic look, so this works for me, but a gauge swatch is recommended, and this stitch pattern opens up a lot. Blocking was completely unnecessary for this, if it was any bigger, it would be silly. This will eventually make a great maternity garment, too! (No, not yet.) It’s so stretchy in both directions that all it will do is grow slightly shorter as the belly swells.

Modified pattern by omitting the 4 rounds of garter stitch between charts A and B, and omitting the 7 rounds of stockinet stitch called for at the very top of the yoke. Substituted I-cord bind off, using US-8 DPNs (1 size larger than needles used for main body of garment.)
