I’m finally started! I purchased the course/pattern in March during Spring Break from Craftsy.com and enjoyed the video segments but didn’t have a chance to begin a project until now. I’m excited to make this and learn how to fit a sweater perfectly! I’ve already learned a great deal from Myra Wood. Thank you!

7/30/12 Began the lace body section today! It’s an easy lace pattern to memorize. I’m zooming along! I ended up making the lace section about 7 inches after blocking so the sweater just reaches my waist. I bought the Rowenta Ultrasteam in March and just love it! It’s great to quickly steam block a project as you go. I purchased the Quilter’s Cut ‘n Press Sunday at JoAnn Fabrics which makes blocking in my lap possible! Great tools! Thank you for suggesting these, Myra!

8/2/12 Finished off the button band using the size 8 needles and blocked it. Found 3 large antique buttons in my button stash that are perfect for the colors in the sweater :-). I had to make the button band a couple of rows wider to accommodate the large buttons. Working on the sleeves! Love the crochet bind-off. I think this will be how I bind off everything from now on!

8/3/12 One sleeve done - used the size 10 needles on the sleeves. Did 7 repeats of the lace row instead of 6. To get the crochet bind off to match the body bind off I had to turn my work and crochet back instead of going around.

Finished! I love it!!!! It fits very well! Yay!
