Done! Done! Done!
Immediate post-completion thoughts:
- Like the way the Remix looks as a fabric. Did not particularly enjoy knitting with it.
- Remix has no stretch to it at all. I’m glad that this is a shop demo, as I’m not sure this would actually get over a kid’s head.
- I don’t like seaming.

Finished the neck and seaming up at the top of the sweater. Am picking up stitches for the arms. Man, I dislike picking up stitches. Grr.
NOTE: The pattern says to measure down 6 1/2” from the shoulder to start picking up stitches for the arms, but that looked way too big. The entire body length is only 10 1/2”. I measured down 4 1/2” and picked up teh same number of stitches; it was a little tight, but I think I’ll like the way it looks better.

Finished the front of the sweater today! Still need to do the neck ribbing, the sleeves, and seam everything together. Zoom!

A sheep! A sheep! Made the eyes blue, since I thought that’d be cute. The face is a little lopsided; there should be one more black stitch on two rows above the ear. Oh well. Read your patterns, children.

Back has been done for a while. Forgot to note when. I started the intarsia part of the front today…eep. I think I’m through the most fiddly bit, where I had five separate yarns that I was using, one for each of the legs, the orange in the middle, and the orange on either side.

Diana passed this shop project off to me today. Should actually be fun, since I’ve been wanting to learn intarsia.
I’m going to do the body of the sweater in orange and the sleeves in navy, and skip the little stripes. The stripes are cute, but I think they’d be too much for this demo. I’m doing the sheep in black, too, since it’s for the shop. The sheep will be essentially inverted from the pattern, with the body in black and the face and legs in white. Cute, right? I hope so.
