Finished! Note to self: it’s good to read the pattern for what it actually says, not what you think it says. I started the mittens using the baby cashmerino doubled, because we all assumed the pockets were supposed to be of the same weight yarn as the scarf. Nope. So I pulled the one I had almost completed apart, made a royal mess with the yarn, tamed the yarn, and made the pockets. I used the remaining cashmerino to stitch the pockets onto the scarf. Pretty cute, eh?

Blocked the scarf. Am waiting on Diana to bring her copy of the book so I can make the mittens, since we sold the copy at the shop. Which was largely the purpose of making this scarf. :-D

Shop demo with Debbie Bliss yarns, from her book. The pattern calls for aran throughout, but we’ve got a great red in a DK weight that I want to use so I’m going to hold it doubled. Hopefully that’ll be close enough. :-)
