Same wider version as in the Pincha for a Friend. Due to the nature of hand painted yarn, the bind off had to be changed.
Change begins at the end of the K10, P2 together, turn, slip one knit wise, k11, wrap and turn section.
*Drop marker. K11, P1. You should be at the feather end of the row. Turn. Slip one knitwise, yarn over, Purl one. Slip the first two stitches on the right needle over the third as in Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off. Work another JSSBO in purl. Knit 11, wrap and turn. Work these two rows five more times to next marker.*
Work another section from * to * except this time you will bind off three stitches every other row instead of two.
Work five more pairs of rows except you will be binding off four stitches every other row.
When you are down to the last twelve stitches on the needle, end the row with a Purl one at the end farthest from the feather tips, instead of knitting and wrapping. Turn. Slip one knitwise, k10, Purl one. Turn. Work as before except that all stitches except the last two will be worked using JSSBO in Purl. Yarn over, purl the last two stitches together, slip the first two stitches on the right needle over the final stitch as in JSSBO. Break yarn, leaving six to eight inches of tail for working in the end.
