Easy and fast knitting - I think I underestimated my size though - may have to splice it up each side and add a few more rows as it’s a bit tight around. The nice thing about being all garter stitch and knit sideways as that will be easy to do :o)
Can’t wait to see it with my own glass buttons on it!

Later… I did add the extra rows and short rows under the arms to give it more bust room and more “swing” at the bottom hem. I finished the knitting some time ago but its been waiting for me to decide what to do about the stretchy neck - a by product of the sideways garter stitch.

After watching the videos on grosgrain ribbon (http://vimeo.com/11211190) and its companion video on couture button sewing (http://vimeo.com/11485451) I settle on a method of hand sewing thin grosgrain ribbon around the neck to stabilize it. I also followed the videos to add the grosgrain button band and sew on my buttons (fused glass, made by me, of course!). The videos are made my Gigi and Jasmine of The Knitmore Girls podcast and Ravlery group - thanks ladies!!

The finished sweater is fabulous and I’m going to wear it to death :-)
