Notes

I’ve worn this sweater a lot, and I still really like it. The yarn started pilling (under the arms and inside the hem) right from the start, but has slowed down since then. I have yet to wash this, as I’m afraid of it growing/shrinking.

This turned out exactly like my sketches. It fits me just right and has nice stitch definition. It’s also perfect for wearing out -- I can wear it alone on cooler days, or layer it over a long-sleeved shirt for the freezing days. And my neck will be nice and warm. (-:

The cables are stretchy -- this would fit me even if I lost or gained some weight. I didn’t need to do any shaping (which I was dreading) in the cable section. I didn’t do any shaping at all, really -- the stitches took care of that on their own.

This was knitted in a construction of my own invention. Well, at least, I haven’t seen any other patterns with sleeves made in this exact manner. I began at the bottom and worked in the round. I used bamboo needles for the first time … they don’t slide as well as aluminums, but I’m used to them now and I really like them. I loved working with this yarn, too. I have enough left over for another, smaller project.
