Notes

CO 70 using waste yarn, then added lifeline in last row before switching to project yarn. k2 {p2 k2} across.

Neck/collar was 34” by 8” before blocking; 35.5” and 9” after. I had marked off 1” and found it grew to 1.125”.

Knit back 10”. I had all the stitches nicely together on my circular to continue knitting from the underarm down--no seam, so smart. Except--I can’t for-the-life-of-me make ribbing look right knitting it the other way (from my CO edge). So from the underarm down is in garter stitch. It’s now a design element.

I like this FO a ton, but I think one done fully in ribbing would be more slimming. This will definitely be worn, but I’m also planning another.

Next version: Provisionally CO at mid-neck, knit each down to point of joining at underarms. Pick up stitches from back of neck, knit down and then join all three pieces to knit together without seaming.
