I have to use smaller needles (US4, 3.5mm) to obtain the gauge. I followed through the pattern except the sleeves:

Sleeves
Starting from the underarm, pick up 6 sts, then 2 sts on every 3 rows around the armhole, and finally another 6 sts underarm to complete the round. Place a stitch marker.

R1: k to last 2 sts, ssk.
R2: k2tog, k all remaining sts.

Repeat R1, R2 one more time.

Purl a round,
Repeat R1, R2 one more time and bind off.
