Notes

As I used fingering weight yarn, which has a different gauge than what Grandmacore hood calls for, I only followed the construction, and adopted the flower buds lace pattern from Denise Samson’s Lace Knitting book.

The finished hoodie has a neck circumference of 21”. First I cast on stitches that made 1/3 of the neck circumference (i.e. 7”). Then I worked the lace pattern for 7” long, and picked up stitches from both edges. Continued to work the lace pattern until the hood could reach my chin from the top. I then joined the sides and worked the piece in round until my neck was covered. Followed the pattern, I completed the hoodie with an i-cord tunnel.

After blocking , the hoodie draped nicely, and became very soft and comfortable. It is perfect for cool spring/autumn weather.
