Notes

I modified the pattern to use the Aran yarn I have, and to fit my daughter.

KnittingAmyK’s project helped me to understand the pattern and calculate how many stitches to cast on. Bmculter’s inspired me to shape the sleeves with short rows. The hardest part was the transition to the lower body in which a section needs to be bind off for the back of the neck and another section to increase plenty of stitches to begin the lower part of the body. It took me some trail and error.

Next time when I make, I would want an inline pocket like debnicksay’s.

Btw, the cardigan is too big for my daughter! I surely got the gauge wrong. Thankfully I came across smocking from Fruity knitting. Following TechKnitting’s blog, I was able to shape the waist to fit. I also made an i-cord ribbon to tie at the front.

Overall, it wasn’t the best, but she gladly accepted it.
