A Strange Loop is a long tube which has a lot of room for creativity. I knitted the Alaska pattern twice in the tube, so that the colour contrast can be demonstrated fully.

First I checked the number of stitches in a repeat of the Alaska pattern. From my first Strange Loop project, I know it will come a bit tight, so I provisional cast on a multiple of stitches that is a little wider than the head circumference. After the stranded colour work, I continue to knit the same colour until the tube is approximately 10 inches long. Then I repeat the colour work again in the opposite colour. Continue on knitting the tube until it is approximately 20 inches long.
