Notes

Named after one of the wives in Mad Max - The Dag. She’s an idealistic slave-wife, who is later mentored by a matriarchal clan leader, a tough granny on a motorbike, who teaches her about the Keeping of the Seeds.

The blue rows are water; the Handmaiden Seacell colourway is the “soil” for the seeds.

July 17: The top shortrows alternate soil and water, which is great. Then a solid band of soil, and shortrows of water (just perfect in garter stitch - I am ALWAYS doing water in blue garter stitch from now on). But now I have to figure out the bottom. Aesthetically, I need something heavier to keep the hem weighed down a bit, so the garment drapes properly. But I’m not sure I want more “soil” below the water.

July 31: finished off with water, and it worked fine. After blocking, though, one side hangs very low (I had used a really large needle with a fingering yarn), so I might frog it a bit at the bottom, and shorten it some - maybe 3 or 4 inches, just so I’m not always fussing at it while wearing it.
