Testing the cowl Arendelle for designer Michele DuNaier at MAD Cap Fancies. This is one of three cowl designs in the Fern Lace Cowl set. l have never tried this stitch before and found it a challenge at first. You Will look at the V stitches in a different way. :) Take the time to become familiar with the stitches listed. I took a thick yarn and large hook and practiced the stitch before getting started. Michele gives written instructions as well as a chart. I found the chart helpful for checking myself but the written is what I followed. The yarn I’m using is a mystery yarn I had here. It is fingering weight. Use a stitch marker to mark you center and move it up each round. Once your past round 8 it gets much easier to see the stitch pattern. After row 12. the depth is 6 inches. I got carried away and made mine to large at first. Had to pulled out a few rounds. Try it on to see how it will fit before starting the edging. Just finished and I love it! Would make again! This pattern is versatile. It can be made any size you wish. I chose to not do the extra rounds so I could keep it a a bit smaller. You decide how big you want it.
