If you look at the pattern you can see I kind of winged it. I did not put the checker board around the bear. I have make these before and they tend to come out rather larger with that added. This is for a newborn and since the shower was… well.. last week I wanted it finished quickly. Really any filet chart would work. I often thought I would like to do one with a bunny pattern in the middle and add a pompom for the tale. There is an eyelet round for the ribbon and then just a repetitive section. Really simple! This is a “hang it over a rocking chair” type blanket. Not the most piratical but so pretty. The ribbon is just tied and can be removed for washing.
