Notes

I am so excited to be a tester for this pattern. This is a great pattern that works up fast considering how large it is. Because it is always changing it never gets boring. During the test half the testers are doing the color changes just as the pattern states and the other half are changing as they wish. Mime is per the pattern. When I finish I will post a total of yardage used and the total of roll for each color. Your count is very important so do always remember to count often. Also watch the points of the star. They often have a different count then the round before. I just didn’t love the look of my star in the middle until the piece rounded out and it just all came together. The star really pops out at this point. On Round 48, remember you have a ch 1 between the shells as well as in the shells. After round 55 it measured 4 feet across. I found rounds 61 and 62 to be a real challenge but they add a beautiful texture. Take your time here, you really don’t want to do these two rounds over! Be sure to check your points while working round 61..Make sure all your fptr are all going the right way Be careful on round 68… the points should have a tr v stitch ch 2 tr v stitch. I have just finished round 75 and it measures 6 feet 8 inches. The V stitch rounds I just finished add a great look! Rounds 76-79 are working up really fast. So glad of that. I anticipated the end taking much longer. NOTE In round 77 when he says to sk three stitches, he is counting the ch as one of the stitches. Round 80 changes a bit so be sure to read. Round 83 is another round that the points have a different count…only 1 dc in the chain 3 instead of 2 dc as in the previous round. Stitch markers are really helpful in rounds 89 and 90. I placed a marker ever 100 stitches.
Colors sequence used
Started part 1 May -26 2015**
Row 1- 4 Pistache ~ Row 5-7 Limelight~ Row 8 Pistache
Row 9- 12 Purple Neon
Row 13- 15 Amethyst ( I found it easy to miss a stitch on round 15 so be sure to watch you count)
Row 16-17 Pistache ~ Row 18-20 Honeydew
Row 21-23 Mixed Berry ~ Row 24-25 Pistache
Row 26-29 Limelight ~ Row 30-31 Pistache
Row 32 Purple Neon
STARTING PART 2 May 28
Row 33-34 Amethyst ~Row 35-37 Orchid
Row 38-39 Honeydew ~ Row 40 Pistache ( I did round 40 in a light color but I think a dark color would make the star stand out more. Something to think about.)
Row 41-44 Limelight ~ Row 45 Mixed Berry
Row 46-47 Amethyst ~ Row 48-49 Pistache
Stating part 3 May 31
Row 50-53 Amethyst ~ Row 54 Orchid
Row 55 Purple Neon ~ Row 56 Honeydew
Row 57 Pistache ~ Row 58 Limelight ~Row 59 Orchid
Row 60-63 Purple Neon ~ Row 64 Orchid
Row 65 Honeydew ~ Row 66 Pistache
Row 67 Amethyst ~ Row 68 Pistache
Row 69- 70 Purple Neon ~Row 71 Orchid
Row 72-73 Pistache ~ Row 74 Limelight
Row 75 Purple Neon
STARTING PART 4 JUNE 9th
Row 76 Pistache ~Row 77 Amethyst~ Row 78 Pistache
Row 79 Amethyst ~ Row 80 Pistache Row 81 Amethyst ~Row 82 Pistache ~Row 83 Amethyst
Row 84 Postache ~Row 85 Amethyst Using only two colors in this section adds a different look. I didn’t like it at first but looked much better as it grew. Really glad I did it this way.
Row 86 Orchid ~ Row 87 Honeydew
Row 88 Limelight 89-90 Purple Neon ~ Row 91 Pistache
Row 92 Limelight ~ Row 93 Pistache ~ Row 94 Limelight
Row 95-97 Purple Neon ~ Row 98-100 Limelight
Row 101 Pistache ~ Row 102-103 Limelight Note.. I started out using the color Mixed Berry but really didn’t use much. If I were to do again, I’d leave this color out and replace it with the Purple Neon.
FINISHED 6-19-2015
ENDING SIZE 8 FEET 10 INCHES

I will admit I wasn’t as good as I should have been about keeping track of my yardage used. Here it goes…
Pistache* (a light yellow with a slight tint of green)
4 rolls
Purple Neon 4 rolls
Honeydew 1 1/2 rolls
Limelight 3 rolls
Orchid 2 rolls
Amethyst 3 rolls

I used a small amount of Mixed Berry but it is so close to the Neon I would just leave this out and replace it with the neon I did have some left on the rolls.

Total yardage was approximately 5,816 yards
