Continuing Moe into Mo Moe
I must say the colors are a bit darker then they show up with my camera.
This is the 4th baby blanket /throw designed by Frank O’Randle. First there was Eeny, then came Meeny (love that one) and Miny, now let me introduce you to Moe. Moe starts out baby size but just like any baby he will grow into full size. Cool ! Moe will now become Mo Moe!
I went with a smaller hook since I am using a baby yarn, size 3. Not a problem if my blanket comes out smaller. :)
OK, I’m cheating on my colors. I an using Mandala yarn that will do the color changes for me. I am allowing the yarn to do it’s own changes however, I did make sure it started with the green. No color sequence to add. Now that feels weird! The colorway I’m using is called Mermaid Cove by Lion Brand.
Don’t miss those hidden stitches. Half doubles are notorious for that. So far there is very little to give a heads up about. Going very well.. and fast.
A very well written and easy pattern. A joy to work up.
This is so soft and light. I’m very happy with it.
Note This yarn is hard to get a good picture of and there a bit more purple then shows. My Moe ended at 34 inches across.
Extending Moe into Mo Moe using the same yarn and hook.
I am now on round 56 of Mo Moe and it is a piece of cake. I admit I keep forgetting to do a sc inc. in the ch 3’s and just do a lone sc. That has been my only challenge. Moving fast and easy.
Ready to start round 66. It is squaring out nicely. Some may not like the repetitiveness of this pattern but I am finding it relaxing. I have so much going on in my life that the easiness of this is really making this fun for me to work on. No stress!
One note on round 83. Frank count the ch 1 space as a stitch.
I had a tiny bit left from 7 rolls. I do crochet tight. You may find you need an 8th roll. Be sure to allow for this.
