Notes

To match the ‘Cupcake Scarf’, I’ve designed two different hats - one a simpler beanie - that is meant to be a whole ‘cupcake ; and one a lacy, filigree beret / slouchy that ‘copies’ the cupcake pattern.

This pattern is also available at http://www.craftsy.com/pattern/crocheting/accessory/cupca...

This pattern has a matching scarf & beanie.

Pattern has three sizes :
S : 18” x 6” , (M : 19” x 6 ½” & L : 20” x 7”)

This pattern too uses simple basic stitches ; written in U.S terminology, and comes with a chart n some photos for explanation.

This pattern has been tested using :
a) Vardhaman Millenium, 50 gms / 165 yds ; 4.5 mm (US H) crochet hook ; (for S size)

b) Bernat coordinates rayon blend - soft mauve color , 52grams, 144 yards ; US H/8 5mm crochet hook ;
Comments : They were a bit confusing initially, but I was able to figure the pattern out easily and the cupcake count really helped. Illustrations / photos - were a big help and essential to the pattern. I’d say it took about 2-3 hours. It would go much quicker for my second one after knowing the pattern.
Skill level by tester : I’d say Intermediate
