4/23/14 - Just back from my trip to Scotland; early into my trip I finished the last couple of colors! Now I just need to start real assembly. I want to lay out all the squares so I can make sure the colors are mixed properly, and this probably won’t happen until the weekend, though. Still, hurrah!

6/29/14 - Was finally able to get this thing laid out this past week and as of tonight 3 rows are completed & connected! Chuggin’ away!

9/8/14 - After waiting what felt like a bajillionty years for ESK to get more black in stock, 7 rows connected & counting!

3/11/15 - I have been hard at work since the weekend after having this sit for… 6 months? There are 13 rows fully assembled, one more complete row that is in the middle of being attached, and one completed row just chillin’ waitin’ its turn. I have 3 more rows to assemble and connect! I’m so close to done I can feel it. My biggest concern is I only have 3 skeins of black left and I don’t really have any $ to buy the last 2 or 3 I’m 90% sure I’m going to need. I’m thinking I’ll do 2 rounds in the granny pattern around the edge, then 1 round of solid dcs in a scrappy medley, and finish with 1 round of hdcs in black. But we’ll see where I’m at. I’m not sure if I have enough scraps or enough black. BUT CLOSE TO DONE SO YAY!!

3/16/15 - Finally, the squares are all connected! As of yesterday, actually. And started the border, but ran out of yarn. Found a stray uncaked skein of black yesterday too so I’ll connect that one on tonight and see how far I get. Everywhere and their moms are sold out of the black, but I did manage to find the last 4 skeins in all of internetdom from Loveknitting, so hopefully that will be plenty to finish this motha. =D

7/26/15 - Finally, finally dug this out and finished the two feet or so left of the border. Based on Jenny’s guidance, the border is much thinner than I’d have made for myself, but since that does mean it’s done now, I’m a-okay with this decision. =D
