4.28.19. This project is going so well. Wound the warp on Tuesday, beamed on Wednesday, threaded and sleyed on Thursday and Friday, tied on and reattached lamms yesterday. Started weaving last night, and I’ve almost finished the first towel. It’s so nice when things go smoothly. Even almost counted right. Not quite, but one thread too many instead of one too few, so it worked out fine.

I’m enjoying the Brassards yarn. It has been perfect so far, no knots and a really nice ply. No twisting. I’m using a cotton slub for weft, and I think it’s going to be really good.
Can’t wait to see it after wet-finishing.

5.20.19. All finished. Wet-finished, hand-hemmed, washed and ironed. Gave one away already. One towel was a total mess, must have done it in my sleep or something. It is in my kitchen. Made three with border stripes. They are the nicest. The three with no decoration except the woven border are sort of drab. The yarn is interesting, and I do like the quality.

My most favorite of the bunch is the little table mat I wove with the leftover yarn. I used a thick cotton slub yarn from Gist Yarn, so the mat is all natural color. The twill is not very visible, but the yarn is so beautiful and textured. Warping for placemats with 8/2 natural cotton and the Gist natural slub yarn. Shower gifts. Have to work fast!
