Mods- I knit two less rows for the sole, picked up 93 stitches around the sole and knit in the round which while much easier as far as knitting and construction goes made for a physically hard on the hands project lol
After I was done with the shaping I decreased one more in the center back giving me a total of 44 stitches that I then knit in 2x2 ribbing for 15 rows dropping the thrums from the purl rows. Then I knit 6 rows in stockinette (with yarn spun from the fiber for the thrums) to give the cute rolled edge. I made the ties with a single crochet chain but didn’t weave them through at all as they are mostly for decoration as my mom doesn’t like things tight on her ankles at all lol
This project took much than I anticipated because of so.many.thrums. I made what I hoped would be enough for both slippers and ran out before I finished the first one! The end result is absolutely fantastic though :)
