This is the second attempt at this after epic FAIL of one of the cat’s peeing on the project and me throwing it out in a tearful rage.

Anyhow, I have convinced the Child that she simply must be a mermaid for Halloween. Only to fight the boredom of the repetition.

This time, better yarn, smaller needles, shorter tail … and wrapped in plastic bags.

And then a realization that I made it too small and had to add some rows of double crochet to increase the side.

And then the continual crying at trying to figure out how to walk.

Yeah. This is pretty much the last Halloween costume I’m making for the Child. That is, until the next time.
