My uterus is mad at me.

This past spring, I went to my gyno. All my other doctors had noticed my low iron. Gyno did an ultrasound--turns out I have adenomyosis. It was recommended that I use a Mirena IUD, which would thin the endometrium and reduce blood loss. In theory, it would address the direct area rather than systemic like a pill.

After the IUD was placed, I’ve had light but continuous blood loss, as well as deep, deep, deep depression and painful GI issues that have laid me flat for a few days. Disturbing hair loss.

Turns out I have a sensitivity to Progesterone. Gyno is recommending a hysterectomy. We’re seeing if this shakes out before taking that step.

So, yeah, I needed to personify this thing.
