Notes
  • I assume stocking stitch for gauge because in pattern, I’m getting rows that are more compact (makes sense with horizontal ribbing and with slip stitches).

Toni and Todd picked this up for me during Shop Hop 2022, probably Saturday or Sunday. Total paid $35 for both yarns and the pattern.

Used the 72 stitch size and they are coming out nicely for calf width.

I made an error in reading my own knitting and instead of repeating rows 1 - 8, I knit rows 1 - 8, then repeated rows 3-8. Still looks v nice. Will keep it.

The wider leg made a nice slouchy sock calf which is cozy and seems appropriate for this style of sock. I carried the pattern forward to the foot, where 72 sts w/b too many.

To compensate, I made the foot shorter (empty sock looks a bit silly in profile), which works.

I did run out of contrast green, but punted with leftovers from the scrap socks I made with my friends recently.

Lots of main color leftover. Will estimate 3/4 of a skein used in total so 300 yards for KnitMeter.

I would knit this pattern again.
