Notes
  1. Half cable cast in 18 sts. Kbf 1 row (18 sts). Split 36 sts by slipping to two parallel needles: first st to front needle, 2nd st to back needle, repeat, slipping odd numbered sts to front needle and even numbered sts to back needle. K around dividing to four needles…will be awkward for a few rows, flexible needles may help. Toe shaping: Increase 4 sts by Kfb first st, K to 2 sts before end of needle, Kfb, K. Repeat for 2nd needle. This will be the increase row used throughout the toe shaping. K one round, inc one round until desired number of sts for foot circumference (best to try it on, if almost as wide as foot, maybe 3/4 as wide as foot, it’s about right). Give some thought to number of sts needed for any textured sts or pattern desired for instep, eg, need multiple of four? Instep: For this sock, I’m borrowing the pattern stitch from Show-off Stranded Socks for the top of the foot. Insert any pattern or knit stockinette st until abt two inches shy of heel (as sock is on foot).

  2. Added the rest of my handwritten notes to photos.

6/10 of an ounce left. That’s 20 grams. Started with 100 grams and 463 yards. Used 80 % so used 371 yds for Knit Meter.

Note, didn’t like the look of 2 x x ribbing with this stitch pattern. Decreased on stitch on inside of each cuff.
