Yarn left:
Cahill (light mint green) less than .1 oz, abt 4 yards, MCN
Olive You (olive green) .2 oz, MCN
Alice (maroon), .6 oz, 100% superwash
Deep Frost (dappled grey), 2.1 oz, 100% superwash
Purchased all yarn as a kit from DKA on impulse after seeing the delightful floor model. $150 total. Probably in 2023, might have been 2022.
Made (mostly) the 4th size: finished bust 54”. Had and used parts of 2 skeins of Deep Frost. Started with the darker skein toward my face.
My sweater was plenty big enough before I finished Chart A, so I skipped the last increase (wish I had re-read that part before I did the sleeves, because I think I made the increases at the end of Chart A on the sleeves!). On the body, after skipping the last increase of Chart A, I intended to follow instructions for 3rd size and probably mostly accomplished that. Sleeve separation was K58, 80 to holder for 1st sleeve, co 5 via backwards loop, K116 (making front just a bit bigger than the back, 80 to holder, co 5, K to end of round.
Had to fiddle with which stitch to start charts on for rest of sweater.
Bound off waist knitwise, bound off sleeves in ribbing (because I did one sleeve that way without thinking and didn’t want to go back).
My arm over a sweater: 13”
My bust over a sweater: 46”
Was a fast knit, I did most of the body of the sweater (below yoke, sleeves and finishing between 3/17 and 3/29. Guessing the yoke took about the same amount of time, but spread out more!
Needle sizes were all over the place. When I took project out of hibernation in March 2024, there were 6s, 8s, and one 9 in the project. Most were probably just acting as stitch holders, but…hmm…?
Yardage? I have 3 oz left. I started with 400 grams, great? How do I convert that. Also, made lower body a bit longer than called for. Ok, yarn page says skns are 4.6 oz so I started with 18.4 oz, ended with 15.4 oz, round down let’s say 3 yards for ends that were hidden or snipped and tossed. let’s say I used 15.4 oz x 205 yds/4.06 oz = 777.59 yds (yep, that’s consistent w/yardage needed per pattern) and subtract 3 for the scraps so use 774 for knitmeter.
I laminated the charts and used washi tape to mark my progress. Worked well.
