These socks are self-drafted using 2x2 ribbing on the cuff for 20 rows and thermal stitch for the main leg and foot.

I cast-on 72 sts (use whatever you prefer). Just note that the cast-on st number has to be divisible by 4.

When transitioning from the cuff ribbing to the leg, start on Row 1.

Thermal Stitch pattern is as follows:
Row 1 and 2: k the whole way
Row 3 and 4: k1, p2, k2 repeat until 1 st before BOR, k1

Before starting the heel, finish on Row 4.

For the heel flap & gusset I used the instructions from Summer Lee’s I’m So Basic Socks.

If you have a high instep/arched foot pick up more stitches along the heel flap. I knit 31 rows of the gusset & picked up 17-18 sts on both sides + 1 st from the row below when meeting the top half of the foot to prevent holes. Knit that stitch that you picked up tbl.

Continue the pattern while decreasing the heel stitches.

Finish on row 1 before starting the toe.
