Argh! I long-tail cast on 240 st. and then discovered that the 11 g. I had on hand would not be enough. (And a knot appeared about 10” from the completed cast-on edge.)

Luckily a raveler had a partial skein for sale. I obtained this. Then I made the (5,3) knot and the results were crappy. Wrong size in both circumference and thickness. Stitch pattern didn’t look right.

MadStuart consulted with me and we decided on modifications. Have begun again in accordance with our favorite of 4 swatches.
