Making a granny strip afghan based on Attic24’s Sunny Granny Stripe Afghan. For the most part, I’ve stuck to the same colors, except for two substitutions for colors unavailable in my chosen yarn. I’m using Caron Simply Soft instead of Stylecraft Special DK. I would have loved to use Stylecraft, but due to budgetary limitations I’m using stash yarn instead, as I already had most of the colors in the Caron. Simply Soft is a heavier weight yarn, but that’s fine because we’ve a queen size bed.

5.30.16 It’s been rather too hot to work on this, so I’m putting it aside for now until we get a cool spell or install the AC.
