Notes

I’m not really a hat person. I’d usually pull up my coat hood when it’s cold but that’s not practical when I’m on my bicycle (blind spots) and my ears are definitely starting to feel the autumn/winter chill. This hat seemed to offer a good solution.

The good news is that I don’t get an itchy head, static hair or feel ugly and want to tear it off but it still has to be tested outdoors…

  1. Using yarns together to get DK tension.
  2. I knit much faster than I purl so I worked the hat flat so I could just knit all rows, thanks to Murf’s notes.

Dimensions:
CO 104 knit 24 rows on smaller needles.
Changed to larger needles and continued until work measured 8” / 20cm then decreased as in pattern.
