Testknit for Heidi Haygood and sample for ModeKnit Yarn’s Annie & Kathleen. While casting on this gorgeous yarn in the Thistle colorway, I added the section stitchmarkers to help with the count and also to determine where I will be adding the beads for the 7 columns of chevron decreases. The result is a stunning subtle look in the plain stockinette fabric. I used a full tube of size 8 beads -- around 300 count. For the next shawl I am thinking of adding 9 beads per point at the cast on, then decreasing by 2 stitches on the resulting decreases to accentuate the bottom points while adding weight for drape.
