With pre-beaded laceweight and a max of 25 stitches per short row, this pattern is a perfect portable WIP.

I thought it would be fun to see how many repeats I could work out of 100 yards of this pretty crochet thread. Unfortunately a knot towards the end killed the chance of using the last 0.03 grams, which measured as 91 inches. I still love the result.

My tweaks:
- Using up all but the last 0.03 grams resulted in 25 repeats.
- To begin the project, I beaded 200 size 1 clear white beads, and ended up adding more for a total of 378 beads.
- I chained 50 with my crochet hook, incorporating 3 of the beads for the first 3 chains. I then turned and picked up the required number of stitches for the cast on.
- At the beginning of every odd/right/public row, I slipped the first stitch as to purl to create a firm edge and squeeze out extra yardage.
- At the beginning of every even/wrong/private row, I knit through the back loop on the first stitch. Doing so securely held the bead in the blocking process.
- For row 9 “Bead, knit” instructions, I had “Bead, purl through the back loop” instead. The result look pops that row of beads out by creating a sort of platform.
- For row 10, I knit through the back loop for the first of K8.
- Because I am obsessed with symmetry, I knit an additional 4 rows of a repeat so that the beaded 9th row did not look uneven.
- Lightly blocking by using my steamer resulted in the top of the collar measuring 22.5 inches in length. I did not use any starch, but it would have added some strength if I did.
