I decided to include some BWC Lux which I had cut up into 15yd bits for yarn tastings to the cast on. Also the bottom is beaded for a bit of bling.

June 2, 2017

I began casting on with a 4.mm needle using the long tail method. I decided to cast on with a 4.5mm needles for a slightly larger size, work the first 4 rows with 3.75mm needles, and will be using a 3.25mm needles for rest of the lace section.

July 15, 2017

I have 28g left after the lace charts, and am continuing the rest of the shawl using 3.75mm needles.

Shawl knitted and drying on the blocking wires. I just need to weave in the cast on ends. Best part is that exactly 10g of the 50g Sundara Silk Lace cake is left which means I hit the 400yd minimum for my Order Mission.

I wore the shawl to my daughter’s last day of water therapy. After discussing the amazing work the therapist did for my daughter, and knowing that she loved purple, I decided to gift the shawl to her. I think there were tears in her stunned eyes when she accepted the gift of our gratitude.
