For my HPKCHC Fall 2012 Herbology Option 1 OWL

Recently the Benchmark I made last year had a slight incident with the dryer. Though the sweater is not unwearable, a replacement is being made so as to wear around the time of Thanksgiving dinner.

Changes to Pattern for Sizing Adjustments

1. Sleeves will have 3 inches of length added at the cuffs
2. Body will have 3 inches of length added at the bottom

September 9th:
Finally cast on and knitted the first 18 rows out of the required 90 for the front. Thank goodness for my row counter!

September 27th:
Am finishing up 8th repeat for the first 20 inches before making arm decreases.

October 8th:
Sleeves being done two-at-a-time with 4 extra stitches (1 row repeat) for width. Added 12 extra rows of ribbing to beginning to create a small cuff. 24 rows instead of 15 done before increases due to BFF’s long arms. Am halfway done with the increases!

October 24th:
Front weighs 178 grams
3/4 finished sleeve weighs 86 grams
1/2 finished sleeve weighs 67 grams
Total finished weight so far = 331 grams
Target weight of 280 grams reached!

October 30th:
Midterm turned in!

November 30th:
Unable to finish OWL, but am determined to have all 4 pieces knitted up by Christmas Day. At least I managed 50 points for Slytherin, YAY!

December 25th, 2012:
All four pieces knitted up. Debating on blocking them out or seaming as is. Definitely will have this pullover ready to wear for New Year’s Day.

December 25th, 2013:
Added collar after my pal Nicole seamed up the sweater for me. She took yarn as payment!! BFF wore this FO puppy to work and received tons of compliments. <3
